Dale completed his Bachelors of Kinesiology followed by a Master of Science degree at the University of British Columbia. During his graduate work, he researched and had work placements on a variety of projects including shoe design for Nike, kinematic analysis of children with Cerebral Palsy after treatment with Botox and development of a patented custom knee brace. This last project translated into his first career role at Ortho Active in 1999! Dale has then spent more than 2 decades in med tech working across sales, marketing and commercial operations. He returned to Ortho Active in 2024 as a Partner.
Dale’s personal interests lie primarily in the mountains, where he is active in mountain biking, backcountry skiing and off-road triathlon. Ask Dale about biomechanics. He nerds out on running and cycling, including bike fit and the latest generation of carbon last running shoes.
